The Doula Register is primarily a regulating body that provides safe and legal standards of service provision for doulas.
One of the chief aims of the doula register is to provide clients, hospitals, practitioners and governments, reassurance that the doulas on the register are working to a set standard.
The Doula Register can help you find just the right person to be there for you when you need them the most.

We are about the care and respect that doulas provide to those in need. The beginning of life and the end of life are powerful and most influential events that affect everyone around us. The doula cares and brings comfort and dependability at these times. To be a part of this culture, to help join together the doulas of the world with those who need them, and to work with amazing people is a gracious honour. We firmly believe that natural birth will change the world back to being a nice place to live.
Our banner displays this ancient Greek text
"πίστις, ἐλπίς, ἀγάπη"
It is pronounced
"Pístis, elpís, agápē"
"Faith, hope, (and) love."
The word “doula” is actually derived from an Ancient Greek word meaning "woman who serves".
"The presence of a Doula is a major advantage for physicians, the women and their families. They provide a level of support that is often very difficult to achieve in a busy maternity care service. We see increased satisfaction with the birth experience, lower intervention rates and excellent infant outcomes."
Dr Michael Klein, award-winning & world-renown physician scientist, author & leader in the field of normal birth
Ante-natal, Birth and Post-natal Doulas
Pregnancy, child birth often need some support and a caring aspect.
A birth doula is a person trained and experienced in aspects of childbirth who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and just after childbirth.
A hospice doula provides companionship and comfort for people whose life expectancy is 18 months or less. Doulas often serve those who have limited support from family and friends, providing emotional, spiritual and social support as well as comfort and companionship.
Supporting a family in this time helps relieve stress and provide a confidence in presence.
